A Little About Me
I was born and raised in small town outside of Madison, Wisconsin.
My childhood was all about exploring the realm of art and imagination provided by the untamed mid-western wilderness.
I always knew I would grow up to incorporate art into my life. I was inspired by my mother, who was an artist in so many ways. Living under her creative spirit played a huge role in my life.
I chose to pursue an art education career, and after graduating from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 2003. During my education at the UW, I was trained in all areas of the Fine Arts as well as Dance.
I have spent the past 11 years teaching art, and a little bit of life along the way, to Kindergarten through 8th grade at Bromley East Charter School ( which offers Core Knowledge Curriculum as well as Montessori ) and at Belleville Elementary. My final pages of this journey were written at Beaver Dam Middle School.
Always deeply immersed in my own projects, I create in acrylic, fibers, clay, watercolors, textiles, jewelry, photography, illustration, as well as traditional and non traditional media.
I consider myself a very spirited person, with enthusiasm and passion. I like to challenge myself, and am very detail oriented. I maintain a positive attitude about life, and am ready to take on whatever adventure lies ahead.
